Melissa Grimes

Melissa’s desire to help others achieve total wellness is what led her to find her “calling” to become a massage therapist.  She is passionate about helping others achieve mental clarity and deep relaxation through her techniques that she’s developed over the years.  She graduated from the Central Maryland School of Massage in 2012 and worked in a spa setting for 7 years.  Melissa offers a traditional Swedish massage with Lomi Lomi influences and incorporates stretching into her sessions.  Some other modalities she offers are, cupping, hot stones and reflexology.  Due to her nurturing nature, she thoroughly enjoys working with prenatal and postpartum clients.  

On a personal note, Melissa is a busy mom to a daughter and 3 sons and has been married to her husband since 2012.  Outside of work, she enjoys coaching for volleyball and soccer and volunteering for school events.  She loves spending time with family and friends and enjoys hosting parties and holidays.  Melissa is somewhat of a wanderlust as she thrives on traveling and seeing different cultures.  She also loves music and the expression of it through dance, so attending concerts is a must.  She enjoys being in nature, so you can find her gardening, hiking, biking and primitive camping.  She feels most grounded and peaceful when visiting the beach with her feet buried in the sand and the waves calling her name.
